DESCRIPTION
Developed from the ground up and backed by knowledge gained from years of pushing the edge of muzzle device performance, the Hypertap muzzle brake delivers more than we’ve ever offered before. Our proprietary Hybrid Baffle Design combined with advanced Convergent-Divergent port geometry yields an unprecedented recoil reduction of over 84%*, nearly 10% higher than our M4-72, while maintaining modest 35-degree baffle angles and generous bore clearance. This results in exceptional safety, less gas blowback, better accuracy, and higher overall shooter comfort than any other device in its class. Fully tunable gas biasing allows the shooter to further reduce, or even eliminate, sight picture movement while firing. An integral universal timing nut eliminates the need for shims and allows quick field installation & removal using an adjustable wrench or the lightweight spanner tools (included). Additional features include: zero flash increase, compact lightweight design, a rugged skeletonized crown, cleaning friendly design, heat-treated stainless steel construction, a tough Ionbond® CrCN finish for superior durability and, as always, 100% Made in the USA.
Minimum recommended barrel length 14.5”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When selecting a caliber for one of our muzzle devices, the correct choice is based on your cartridge's actual bullet diameter. For example; if you have a .300 Win Mag, you would select a 7.62/.308 muzzle device. This is because the bullet for that cartridge is a .308" diameter. For a more detailed explanation and examples, check out our Caliber Fit Guide.
Before you begin drilling out any ports on your Hypertap, it is very important to decide if you even need to do so. With the Hypertap reducing such a high amount of recoil, there is often not enough force remaining to induce muzzle rise. Unnecessary drilling of the brake could result in overcompensation - actually driving the muzzle down after each shot. Additionally, excessive drilling can reduce the brake's overall recoil reduction rating. This is due to the internal gases no longer following their intended path of the convergent-divergent baffles. If after these considerations, you do decide to drill the Hypertap, we recommend starting with the front-most pilot holes and using a drill diameter smaller than the max diameter listed in the manual for your caliber.
The Slim Body Hypertap has an O.D. of 0.90", while the Standard Body has an O.D. of 1.09". Some users may prefer the fitment of one body type or another depending on the diameter of their firearm's barrel. In regards to performance, there is a negligible performance loss with the Slim Body, simply due to there being less internal surface area for the gases to be redirected. The exact amount of loss greatly depends on your caliber and load, but for example, standard 147gr FMJ .308 measures 70% recoil reduction with the Standard Body, and 67% with the Slim Body.
You can, we just don't really recommend it. Reverse-venting brakes do just that; vent gases in the reverse direction from what they were traveling. This design is how such high recoil reduction ratings are achieved. But because of that, gases and concussion are directed back to the shooter. Barrels below 14.5" can cause these forces to be quite drastic to some individuals, and more extreme depending on what caliber you are shooting. Hypertap/customer service
So I’ve been waiting until I received my break. After the postal service lost the break. I contacted PA and they instantly got the ball rolling on making it right. Just their customers service is enough to keep me buying their products. Now that I have the break. Works better than advertised! Installation was easy. Looks amazing. Recoil is way more than manageable now. Personal preference but I definitely recommend ears. 100% buy again!

Hyper tap
This muzzle brake is amazing. It reduces a ton of recoil. Mounted it on my 308 Bergarra rifle and shoots like it’s a 22 almost. The installation was so simple and with the locking nut built-in, you do not even need to use shims. Installs in seconds. Best muzzle break ever.

Better than you expect
This thing is great. You look at all the numbers and think, "There is no way it's that much of a reduction". It is. This thing made my .308 feel like a kitten. If I had to give it a downside it would be for anyone around you because the blowback is noticeable for them for sure. Installation was extremely easy. All the tools, loctite, and instructions were included. Timing nut made things a breeze. Extremely happy with my purchase and can't wait to get more PA products.

Hypertap Slim
I was very impressed with this brake. It had significant recoil reduction and the slim profile fit my fluted 18" stainless steel barrel perfectly. It is so nice to not have to time the break with shims or a crush washer. Don't worry about the price, it's worth it.

Hypertap = 100% the best
The value of this little guy cannot be overstated. I have it on a light weight .300PRC, .308 Scout and a 7.62x39 American. All three are a dream to shoot and I can stay nearly 100% on target and in the scope with the .308 and 7.62x39, just run the bolt and pull the trigger! The .300PRC went from a real handfull to pleasant to shoot. I loathed shooting this rifle at the range, especially more than 15-20rnd. Now I'll probably wear out that carbon barrel in short order. ?

Only Muzzle Brake I'll Now Will Ever Own
Luckily I stumbled upon this Hypertap muzzle brake. My odd size brake needed for my custom 450 Bushmaster build was in stock and shipped fast. This is well made, functions great, is very easy to install, tames recoil, has minimal blow back, and I couldn't ask for anything better. From here on out, if I need a muzzle brake, this will be the one I order.
